The Marlborough Veterans Day Parade and ceremony was held on this beautiful morning, as the community gathered to honor veterans and their families for their dedication and sacrifices. The ceremony includes heartfelt speeches, a moving reading of the classic poem "In Flanders Fields," and a powerful tribute to the 37 Marlborough servicemen who gave their lives during World War I. City and state officials, including State Representative Danielle Gregoire, Mayor Christian Dumais, and City Councilor Mark Vital, who is a veteran himself, shared proclamations, poems, and reflections honoring the courage, valor, and commitment of veterans. Alongside these officials, the Marlborough High School Band added to the ceremony’s solemn atmosphere. Local groups, including the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Girl Scouts, also participated, proudly showing their support. Together, they underscored the community’s deep respect and gratitude for veterans, and the commitment to supporting them in all aspects of life. Thank you to all of our veterans from all of us at WMCT-TV.
