Amazing Race

After a long and tiring day Sunday, WMCT’s Tom Brown will start working on editing the Lion’s Club 2013 Amazing Race. Tom and co-worker Alycia Brandt ran as a team in the annual race. Despite getting lost in the woods of Westborough for an hour, they managed to regroup and place first in the Duo Category.
While a cameraman followed around Tom and Alycia, another WMCT camera was following another racing pair. The Amazing Race will be edited over the course of the next two weeks and is scheduled to begin airing in early July.

“A Day In The Life” With Chronicle

“A Day In The Life” stepped off the lacrosse field and onto the streets of Boston with a crew from the popular, long-running show “Chronicle” from WCVB Channel 5. Dan Guindon and Vanessa Gallant spent the day with Cameraman Carl Vieira and producer Amy Masters. Look for the finished product on the WMCT web site and on air in late-April!

Alexandra Grace, Mike Lawton and Dan Guindon shot “A Day In The Life” Jon Hayes, one of the Boston Rockhoppers star players yesterday. They will give viewers a look at what John does on game day and that includes exclusive locker room footage before the game and at halftime!

Main Street Fire

On Friday morning at 10:30am, the fire department responded to the 2-alarm fire at the McDonald’s Hotel located at 276 Main Street. The flames were quickly contained. The fire had started in the rear of the building on the first floor.
